Use your time behind the wheel to practice your yoga movements. This will work to keep your chakras flowing well while driving and develop/maintain your range of motion so you can do proper shoulder checks, etc. Below are a few areas of awareness for you to incorporate into your driving habits that will keep you moving forward on your yoga path while helping your driving to improve.
- Sit up straight as you do with your sitting asanas. This works your core while you are sitting and so helps keep your metabolism up and running, as well as helping your chakra chain to stay active.
- When doing your shoulder checks for turns, keep your spine erect and turn as you do with your sitting spinal twists. You will be able to do a better visual check for traffic and pedestrians. And you will be unblocking your stuck energy around your chakra centers.
- When stopped at stoplights or trains, do the facial portion of the lion. This will help you stay alert for driving as it will open up the face and relieve eye strain.
