- Epsom salt baths- About one cup of epsom salt in a bathtub full of water will often ease your tired muscles. The magnesium is considered to relax the muscles.
- Arnica montana homeopathic gel and Arnica remedy 30C (often appropriate for the aggravation of a chronic ache) or 200C(often appropriate for the very acute ache)- Apply and take as directed. The usual dosing of a remedy for acute management is 3 pellets every 15 minutes until the symptoms begin to improve, but if no change is noted after a few dosings a new remedy should be selected. As the improvement continues, you can space out the dosing to three times a day.
- Valerian- Be sure to review the contraindications, as this herb should not be taken with a few medications. As well, if you have a sensitive digestive system, this herb can bring on diarrhea. However, it can be a powerful muscle relaxant agent.
