As we spend our days at the computer, tablet, phone and phablet, we create tremendous strain for our eyes. Making time to include eye exercises into your work breaks can go a long way to helping relieve your eye strain.
Asanas for eye balance include: the inversion asanas ; balasana or child's pose ; simhasana or lion's pose (may practice seated in chair, as well) .
The practice of palming also helps to reduce eye fatigue.
- Sit or lie down comfortably.
- Rub your hands together until they feel warm.
- Bring them up gently to cover your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly to help your eyes relax and re-energize.
